The blog-o-sphere is full of posts concerning the recently finished life size gundam in Odaiba, Japan. And I have to add another post to that category because seriously, you have to admit this one is really awesome!
Altho I’m not very into meccha and gundam, this life size one caught my eyes and I just had to dedicate a post to it.

Dull

Yeah, I’m slacking lately, I know. Life lately hasn’t been interesting, and today I’m veeeery dull and a bit inspirationless for blogging. So if you don’t wanna read some plain and boring text, you should stop reading now ;P

Lately the only things on my mind are school, YFU and my Japanese studies. Especially school. Never in my school life have I been working this hard to get some good grades. But all the hard work ain’t for nothing, because my grades really have become better ^^ Only 4 weeks until SUMMER VACATION! Which means no stress and no f**ing school =D Time to spend on anime, manga, dorama, tidy up my room, Japanese studies and blogging of course ;P Oh, wait.. I forgot my work >.< Will also be working a lot in the shop, since I have to save for Japan.

Last week friday I mailed the forms to YFU, including a copy of my brand new made passport. Hopefully they’ll reply soon =3
Sunday evening ’till the next day I had a slumber party at my friends’ place which was incredibly awesome! Altho… I went by bus. Was supposed to meet up with another friend, but she was like 45 minutes late. So I had to wait in the oh so warm sun with a very huge bag on my shoulder. Anyways, she arrived, I kicked her ass and we went to this other friend’s place. All together we were with 4 people. We wanted to make some sushi, so I brought all the ingredients. Except for one, the most important: soy sauce and wasabi >.< Omfg stupid. So we had to get some soy sauce at this neighbour. But he stored his soy sauce in the refrigerator, and tasted like poop. Maybe he ain’t the only one storing soy sauce in the refrigerator, and maybe I’m just weird, but I just really prefer  storing it in the cupboard. Uncooled. So sushi was okay, except for the soy sauce. My friends made guacamole nacho dip sauce. In the end we never touched it.
I brought along my extern harddisk with some movies on it. First we watched Mirrors, second The Long Weekend and third Moulin Rouge. Since we started at 0.00 am, we didn’t had a lot of time to watch movies. After Moulin Rouge it was already around 5.20 am. So in our pajamas we went outside. The air was cool, but still felt a little muggy. We walked through the neighbourhood, hung out at the playground making a lot of noise and made this woman angry XD After that we came back home, and put on The Exorcist. But we were all pretty tired and fell asleep during the movie. In the mean time I woke up several times. One time I woke up I saw Regan (the exorcist girl) stabbing like crazy a scissor in her eerrr.. special place. Screaming like she had a lot of fun. Slept for 2 hours. After that breakfast, hung out in the garden since the weather was really nice. Played The Sims, did some Mario Kart on the Wii. End of day.

Today while I had piano lessons, I saw my teacher had this sheet of River flows in you. But instead River flows in you, it said “River flows in your”. My teacher told me the song is from a horror movie containing vampires and all. Eerr… not sure about the horror thing, but might this be the movie “Twilight”? I’ve never seen this movie, so I wouldn’t know. But I looked it up, and the only relation to a movie I could find was Twilight. And I think this movie sucks, which is why I don’t wanna see it.  My teacher played the beginning for me, which sounded very nice! The sheet was from this guy who’s gonna perform this at a performance. This saturday I’ll also have my first piano performance! Which is pretty exciting, and I’m wondering why I agreed in participating at the performance >.< I’ll probably screw up or something. But I only play the piano since 2008 around this time of the year. So I hope they’ll understand XD I’ll be playing Tong Hua from Guang Liang btw ;D
Oh and a few weeks ago, I was able to play on the grand piano! It was my first time ^__^ The grand piano plays sooo nice, and sounds very beautiful. Wish I had one hehe ;P Saturday I’ll be able to play on the grand piano again. Hopefully it will help for me in making no mistakes.

This saturday will also be the Japan festival in Amstelveen. Unfortunately I’m gonna miss this ;__;  There’ll be the longest sushi bar in the whole world, real sumo’s from Japan, a Nikon exhibition, taiko drums, workshops, samurai sword demonstration and a whole lot more!! *sighs*

Gaah, today is dullness day. My mind is blank, and normally there are sooo many things I wanna blog about. But today, the feeling is gone D:
So here is my desktop (totally not related to what I just said).

desktop001

Using dual screen lately. Because 1. my main computer is acting f**ked up. So 2. It would be a waste if I won’t use my acer screen. And 3. currently I’m using my Samsung mini laptop. So I plugged my screen on the laptop for some more work space. On the screenshot you’re able to see how my blog looks behind the scenes ;D

Here’s showing my full desktop. Notice the difference between resolutions :P
I really love clouds. I can look at them for hours ^^

Exchange program

So, as you might now (or some of you don’t) I’ll be applying for a student exchange program to Japan. In september there should be an information meeting about the whole program. And when you sign up at the meeting, you’ll get 50% off from the pre-registration costs. So I thought, ’till then I’ll wait with applying.
However, on edufire I met this guy who’s applying at the same exchange organization as me. And he told me that only about 3 persons would be able to apply for the program. So I got a bit shocked and wondered if he meant that. So I emailed the organization asking how many people they’re able to accept. In a response they answered that approximately 5 persons are able to apply (for each country) and that if I’m sure I’m willing to apply, it’d be better to do it as fast as possible.
And so, today I sent in the form and my mom (^^) paid the pre-registration costs! I really hope to be accepted (ofcourse) but I think the chance is about 50-50, since I’m not the only one drooling all over Japan ^^;

Educative

Maneki neko

So I should be making my homework now. But just got the urge to blog right now =P

Since yesterday I’ve been hooked on educative sites…. “What? o_O Educative?!” … Now I’m not really the type that likes to study. Especially school matters. But school is something else. You have to learn stuff that you don’t wanna learn. In my case that’d be; maths, German, Dutch, geography and economics hehe ^^;; So in my spare time (which I don’t have, as you can see, while I’m blogging here and not making my hw and saying “I don’t have time to make my hw…blablabla”…) I try to do some Japanese studying. And with trying I mean like err… once a month or even less. Yeah I know… I’m such a busy person *coughs*.

Talking about busy persons, somehow I don’t understand how some people manage to do everything they want. I have been following some blogs now. And like some people manage to do gaming, watching anime, read manga, do their studies, their daily essentials such as sleeping, eating, pooing, showering etc, hang out with friends, go on a vacation and still manage to do everything, all of their other hobbies and staying up to date on every blog o__O Like my Google Reader has tons of blogs I want to follow, and never manage to stay up to date on every one. And anime… hehehe,  I’m waaay behind >.< Still got about 30 mangas on my shelf and never opened them.
Maybe I’m just an unorganized person that can’t manage anything XD
Life is short and people with many interests are too busy >.<

Right, back to topic. So I’ve been hooked on lang-8 and smart.fm
Pretty useful if you want to study any language you planned on studying. Lang-8 is pretty nice, especially for people who’re just like me “busy” (aka. lazy & undisciplined) persons. What you do is, you register an account. Make the whole profile etc. Then you can write a journal post in the language you’re studying and native speakers from that language you’re studying (in my case Japanese) will correct your mistakes and such. And you can do the same, by correcting the journals of other people who’re studying your native language (in my case Dutch =_=). At the same time you’re able to make some new penpals and friends with same interests. I’ve found some people on lang-8, who’re native Japanese speakers and surprisingly want to study Dutch o.O (wth wants to study Dutch I wonder). So together that’d be just awesome. I’ll be able to help that person with Dutch, and that person can help me with Japanese. You’re also able to use Skype, so you can hear each other’s pronunciation. Neat huh ^^

With smart.fm you’re able to learn through lists. Similar to a Dutch website I use for learning French, German and English words when I’ve got a test coming up.

Hm.. weather sux today. Just started to rain =__=

Oh right, I promised to upload my maneki neko collection (which isn’t very huge, but still expanding) and my very small collection of figures ^^

NHK

nhk

So within a weeks there’ll be an opening ceremony for the “Culture campus” where our school is located in. At this ceremony there’ll be an orchestra, performed with wine bottles and modified piano’s and other weird stuff.  It’s a huge project. I’m in the organization committee together with some friends. We’re only with 7 people. Today was our first meeting together with this guy. We discussed some stuff that need to be taken care of and all the other crap. Like we need 500 wine bottles and we also need to transport them to our school.
Some guys from the UK with all these camera equipment were also there and filmed us during our meeting while we were discussing all the stuff. So I heard someone saying that they’re filming for a program in Japan. And I thought that it was a joke. So I asked one of those camera guys ‘For which program are you filming?’. ‘NHK‘, he answered (the NHK is the Japanese television broadcaster) Like omg wtf the NHK! ‘Awesome’ was my reply.

After our meeting we split up in couples, so each couple could take of something. Me and this friend had to make some phone calls. So walking through our school building, the camera crew followed us (instead of the others) XD They even filmed me while I was making the phone call, which was really awkward, cos 3 teachers were watching me.

By the way, have you seen Welcome to the NHK? I love the series! I don’t know how to describe it, but it’s funny, sad, otaku, deep and weird. You just have to see it for yourself ;D

Oh right, some of the new anime are already out (and subbed)!! But I’ve got no time to watch due to school. I still have to finish Toradora, To Aru Majutsu no Index, Soul Eater, Kuroshitsuji, Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae and Shikabane Hime Aka =__=
So the new series can wait ’till next month ;___;

Ugh, tomorrow I’ve got a math test, day after geography test and on friday I have to hand in my paper about the Cold War. Finish my German assignments before end this week, write my book report, write an auto-biography, economics, need to upload some mp3 files for Music and got another project to finish within 3 weeks. Gimme a break plz.
